Hiscox USA Workplace Harassment Study finds Prevalence of Harassment

More than one-third of employees have experienced harassment in the workplace with sexual harassment on the top of the list

In 2018, Hiscox USA commissioned a Workplace Harassment Study to determine how prevalent it is in U.S. workplaces.  The results were compiled from a survey of 500 (250 men and 250 women) U.S. adult full-time employees between June 6 and June 11, 2018 using an email invitation and online survey. The study found that more than one-third of U.S. workers feel that they’ve experienced harassment in the workplace and sexual harassment tops the list of the most common forms of employee misconduct at 50%, followed by race/ethnicity (17%), religion (15%), sexual orientation (13%), and age (13%).
