EEOC Published Update for Third-Party EEO-1 Survey Filers

Procedures to assist PEOs, ASOs, HROs, and other third-party human resource organizations file their 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 report

On February 2, 2022, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued an update to assist third party EEO-1 Survey filers.  The procedures will assist Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), Administrative Services Organizations (ASOs), Human Resource Outsourcing Organizations (HROs), and other third-party human resource organizations.  These organizations typically file on behalf of client employers under third-party agreements.

According to the EEOC, “the new procedures will allow the EEOC to collect more accurate employee demographic data in support of the agency’s mission to prevent and remedy unlawful employment discrimination and advance equal opportunity for all in the workplace.”

The opening of the 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2022. The tentative deadline to file the 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 report is Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

We will communicate all additional information from EEOC regarding the 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 filing.
