EEOC Veteran, Thomas Colclough, Named Director of Field Management Programs


Colclough worked for EEOC since 1988 as an Area Director, Deputy District Director, and District Director for the Charlotte District Office

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced the promotion of Thomas Colclough to fill the position of Director of Field Management Programs.  This position provides guidance and support to all the agency’s 53 field offices regarding investigation, charge processing, education, outreach, and other areas. 

Colclough began working for EEOC in 1988 when participating in the agency’s Stay-in-School internship program, now called the Pathways program.  His career positions included Area Director for the Raleigh Area office and Deputy District Director for the Charlotte District Office.  His most recent position was that of District Director for the Charlotte District office. 

Colclough has been actively involved in EEOC’s outreach and education programs and presents to employer groups, special emphasis groups, non-profit and student organizations.  He is currently serving as the EEOC representative on the U.S. Commission on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys, a 19-member bipartisan body.

Coclough obtained his bachelor's degree in business administration from Saint Augustine’s College and his Master of Art’s in liberal studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  He is a retired North Carolina National Guard lieutenant colonel.
